Performance Team
This team is Applause Studio’s performance troupe that travels throughout the PNW (and beyond!) performing a variety of styles, from Musical Theatre to Hip Hop! Think of it as a variety show with you as the star. We have two teams: Ovation (Grades 2-5) and Accolade (Grades 6-12). Ovation meets on Wednesday evenings and Accolade meets on Monday evenings. Team members are required to take either a ballet or tap class at Applause Studio. Team practices are dedicated to team bonding and learning choreography, so the additional class is where members will work on their dance technique. Auditions are held in September.
Applause Players
Applause’s theater group works weekly starting in October to put on a spectacular full-length musical come Spring. Under the current direction of Oceana Marie Dunsire, students learn character development, various acting techniques, dance routines, and vocal training. The Applause Players rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00-8:30. Must be in Grades 3-12 to audition. Auditions are held in September.
Out of the Box Players
The perfect opportunity for actors wanting to take their acting to the next level, Out of the Box is our ensemble-based acting troupe for teens and adults. This unique combination of in-class training and rehearsal will focus on ensemble building, script analysis, and engaging storytelling. Each semester will also end with a staged performance that shows we like to think out of the box! The Out of the Box Players meet weekly on Fridays from 7:15-8:45pm from September-January and February-June. Auditions for The Fall of the House of Usher will be on Friday, February 9th from 7:15-8:45pm!
