PAYMENT

Tuition is due by the 1st of the month and considered late by the 7th. A $10 late fee will be added to payments received after the 7th (if the 7th falls on a weekend, fees will be applied the next business day). For your convenience, we calculate your tuition for the entire school year and evenly split your tuition into 10 equal monthly payments. This means that tuition remains the same whether it is a long (5 week) month or short (3 week) month, regardless of absences.

ABSENCES

Please call the studio if you are going to be absent. We appreciate knowing whether or not to expect you.

For Group classes, no refunds are given for absences. Your instructor or studio management will recommend an appropriate make up class. In the case of serious injuries that require long recoveries, tuition amounts due can be “frozen” or prorated and credited until recovery time is complete.

For Private lessons, we require at least 48 hours notice for absences. Any notice made under 48 hours or no notice at all will result in tuition being charged on your account. Exceptions to this policy are emergencies, illness, and injuries, but only if we are notified in a timely manner. 3 or more unexcused absences will result in you losing your time slot for private lessons.

CANCELLATION & DROP POLICY

Written notice of intent to cancel enrollment is required at least two weeks in advance of intended end date. Please email office@applausestudio.org with your cancellation request. If we do not receive a written notice, tuition will continue to be placed on your account each month and full payment will be expected of you.

DRESS CODE

Proper dance attire enables the student to fully participate in class and to maintain a disciplined attitude towards dance studies. Dancers not dressed in accordance to Applause Studio Dress Code requirements will not be allowed to continue to participate in classes or performances.

CLASS MAKE-UPS

Regular attendance in class is encouraged to ensure student progress. If a class is missed, students are encouraged to make up the absence in a class of similar age and level. Students who continually miss class may not be eligible to participate in our performances, as the students learn new choreography each week and it is easy to fall behind when attendance is inconsistent.

If your instructor must cancel a class and we’re unable to find a substitute, we will reschedule the class. Everyone will receive an email about the rescheduled class. The same applies to classes canceled due to snow or power outages.
