Ken has been teaching private guitar at Applause Studio for 8 years.  He finds teaching very rewarding. Ken earned his Bachelor of Arts in Music at the University of North Dakota in 2003. He studied numerous playing styles, including pop, rock, and classical music. His live experience includes solo fingerstyle guitar and original rock ensemble performances. Lessons include a progressive blend of popular music and student-chosen songs. Method and songwriting exercises are designed to stimulate musical understanding and creativity.  Students learn both pick and fingerpicking playing styles and participate in recording projects. They receive recordings of their playing with sequenced drum and bass accompaniment.
