Jennifer DeLucy - Private Voice Instructor

Jennifer studied classical voice privately for almost ten years. Her education was opera intensive, including a focus on Italian, Spanish, German, and American works, but she'd typically opt fo an old standard of Broadway ballad over an aria. Her years of intensive study laid a strong foundation for Jennifer to sing and teach most anything, but her favorite genres include musical theater, American standards, and blues.

Aside from formal training, Jennifer was raised in a home full of music. Her family sang and played everything from the piano and guitar to the accordion, and her earliest memories have her sitting on her mother's lap at the piano when she was still too little to speak. Music became her passion and she's been gigging, teaching and composing for all kinds of audiences since she was a little girl.

Jennifer believes that our voices are a powerful means of self expression and confidence. The act of singing is very personal. It requires that we expose a part of ourselves that we normally keep contained and restricted, and there's nothing more inspiring than the moment a student fearlessly finds their best voice in this world.

With a passionate and compassionate approach to teaching, Jennifer will push you out of your comfort zone, but understands the difference between freeing inhibitions and legitimate personal boundaries. Her goal is to make you the best singer you are meant to be.

Jennifer has been a long time Cantor for multiple denominations. She sang for the Pennsylvania State Hall of Fame, the Joe Willett Jazz Ensemble and had been a guest performer with multiple folk and blues bands. She is a professional wedding singer, and has been a private vocal coach since 2007. She also held the number one spot in the Seattle Singers/Songwriters category on Reverbnation multiple times and composes original music for author trailers and marketing events.
