Description:

The perfect introduction to ballet, jazz, and tap for 5-7 year olds. Students learn basic ballet technique while connecting to the movement through animal and character association. A fun and loving environment to learn grace, discipline and body awareness. Students also work on following audible and visual directions, kindness and respect for others, working together to put together a beautiful ballet piece. Yearlong students in this class are eligible to participate in our Spring Ballet Production at no extra cost.

Description:

For students age 8 & up. A triple threat on the stage is a person who is sufficient in singing, acting, and dancing. Talented kids need a class that will stimulate all their passions at once and this class is it. Introduction to acting, kids will play games to enhance their ability to perform with emotions on stage. They will receive vocal training and learn how to control their breathing in order to properly execute each note. Lastly, they will learn fun movements that will help tell the story of their piece and entertain the audience.

Description: 

For students age 8 & up. Learn to command attention in a positive way by learning the rules of the stage. This is a great way to introduce kids to public speaking, thinking on the spot, controlling focus, and having fun in the process. Students play stimulating, creative games. They learn to memorize lines and delve into characterization. By taking this class, students improve their focus, confidence, and behavior.

Film/Voice Acting

Description:

For students 8 & up. Through a series of playful physical games, basic improvisational work, open discussion, and vocal exercises to improve articulation and clarity of speech and communication - we will experience the beginnings of successfully working on camera, preparing for auditions, a commercial read, and a small monologue. The students will learn to achieve a balance between emotional and personal freedom with the practical discipline required for working successfully on camera.

Applause Players

Description:

For students age 8 & up. Applause's theater troupe works weekly starting in October to put on a spectacular full-length musical come spring. Under the current direction of Amanda Rice, students learn character development, various acting techniques, dance routines and vocal training. Auditions are on the first Tuesday in October.
